I purchase this at my local WalMart, so this review will discuss only the mix and not price or shipping costs.Pluses include this is one of my personal favorites among all of the agua frescas, and it is easy to mix. The combination rice flour and cinnamon for some reason appeals to my palate, and I find this to be refreshing and even rich tasting. I have never tried making this from scratch, but I suspect it is not easy. The cinnamon is strong without being overpowering. The actual mixing is easy because this easily and quickly dissolves into the water (a tablespoon per eight ounces.) I use a heaping tablespoon because it adds a touch of richness to the flavor without compromising the refreshing taste. As much as I love this I have to watch my intake because this is relatively high in calories and carbs. There is also more fat and cholesterol than I would like. An 8 ounce glass mixed per directions comes in at 135 calories, of which 18 are from the two grams of fat. Cholesterol is 10mg, which isn't terrible but still something I need to watch at my age. Sodium is a negligible 30mg, but carbs are 26 grams, all of which are from sugar. If you are active and nor saddled with dietary restrictions this is a wonderful and refreshing drink - especially on a hot, humid day. However, if you have to watch calories and carbs you can still enjoy this, but moderation is recommended.
